For over 10 years I worked in restaurants and also worked as a bartender. I’ve made mixed drinks by the hundreds but I have few that I really love because of the color or just the fun name I gave it. The Mandarin Malibu Blue is a so pretty and in color and comes with mandarin orange, coconut, and citrus flavors that you would imagine yourself at a Sparkle Bar in Malibu sipping on one of these blues.
We used Canada Dry often in various mixed drinks as a bartender. Now they have these Canada Dry Sparkling Seltzer Water with flavors like mandarin orange. I found it in the soda pop aisle at my neighborhood Walmart.
Flavored sparkling water is wonderful to create new drinks with alcohol and non alcoholic alike. I enjoy using the flavored sparkling waters for my Sparkle Bar. I like to set it all up when guests come to visit and share some mixed drinks and a lot of talking. They always ask me how to make drinks so I like to show off a bit! One of my most favorite moments is when I created another drink named after a lyric of a song I love by the band HIM. The Sweetest Torment. But the drink isn’t the story the drink is just a start to a story of getting my first drink creation added to the menu. I was so excited I invited all my friends to come to the place I worked and they just had to try it!
After visiting me at work they all knew it was time to have a party at my place. Of course, I threw a wonderful party and since then parties have just been my thing including creating my own company. I am setting up the idea to have a Sparkle bar party with friends soon before our wedding comes in just three month. I would like to get the different sparkling water flavors along with a few other liquors and fruit juices to let our friends create their own mix drinks. We will take small printed circles and large vase for them to write down their creations, funny drink names, and place it int he large vase. Some of those drinks will be featured here on the blog. What kind of Sparkle Bar would you create? I am super curious! Also, you can see some showing off in the video below!
These are so refreshing and wonderful by the pool too! What’s your favorite way to enjoy Canada Dry Sparkling Seltzer Water? Do you have a mixed drink that you make at home? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below. I just love creating new drinks so the more the merrier! What creative names to you have for your drinks? I love to come up with them from current events, gummy animal influences, or even song names.
Now without further ado here is the recipe for The Mandarin Malibu Blue. This will be the number one featured at my Sparkle bar!Print
