Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post I’m doing in my partnership with Jack Link’s & Ahalogy this year. You all know how much I love Jack Link’s, but all opinions are 100% my own as always. Thanks for supporting Jack Link’s which help make this site and my foodie obsession possible. #HangryHacks
My daughter being in Color Guard can pull back to back long days in competition season. It’s like this non-stop on the go situations. One of the snacks we love to share is the Teriyaki Jack Link’s Beef Jerky. Those competitions can easily be from 8 in the morning to midnight. With those long days just breakfast, lunch, and dinner doesn’t cut it especially with all the practice and then performing twice most of the time I like to pack her something with protein for a snack. I like to try sneaking snacks into competition bags for her to have.
When I get the chance I like to pick up a few bags of Teriyaki & Peppered Jack Link’s Beef Jerky at Kroger on my shopping trip. A few of them will be my on the go snack in my bag at football games, competitions, and then there is those late night movie snacks.
Those are the ones that my husband says they are Doggie Snack Packs. What he means is if I walk away the dog will have the beef jerky gone in minutes. The begging is never ending too.
How to place it:
The other few bags I like to hide in the back of the pantry. When I get a chance and she’s either dead asleep or packing the car I like to slip a bag of beef jerky into her lunch sack. Then when she is at competition I just text her and say “Hey, check your lunch bag.” Usually she will reply with “I already saw it.” Mostly she isn’t thinking about thank you’s or what else to say but at the end of the night as she tells me all about her day that is when she slips in the thank you.
I also like to add little notes of encouragement. Sayings, quotes, or just a simple good luck works also. What I also like about Jack Link’s Teriyaki is it’s a soy, ginger, a little onion and a whole lot of perfectly smoked beef. The very best of East meets West. With 98% Fat Free and 12 grams of protein with 5 grams of total carbs.
I love that I don’t have to think twice about the snack I am eating or the one I am placing in her bag for competition. The health benefits of 12 grams of protein and it’s Low in fat, sugar, and carbs. Pretty often I don’t have the time to stand around making snacks. Chopping up fruit or vegetable can take just that 15 extra minutes I need to get work done before running out before show time, competitions, football games, or even conferences.
Jack Link’s beef jerky makes my life just a little easier. Do you have a go to snack or a favorite Jack Link’s product? My daughter also loves the beef sticks. Sometimes we get them while shopping for a snack in the car. I love when we share them and she gets angry because I took to big of a bite!
