I am so ready for cooler temperatures. This allows me to have Fall in a bowl. Apple pie ice cream is fantastic by itself or even topped over a cinnamon roll.

This ice cream is great over pumpkin pie, apple pie, and even pecan pie. I love how fun it is to combine flavors. It’s really one tasty homemade ice cream.

It really is a great one to serve up on Thanksgiving. Put the ice cream in a pie crust and freeze for easy serving.

Yes, It’s Gluten Free

What I love is that this is gluten free. Just make sure the apple pie filling (great value is gluten free) that you buy is gluten free. I love this because It makes it so universal for everyone to eat.

Dairy free can be made with coconut milk but the texture is a bit different. The coconut milk melts fast and doesn’t whip up as easily as the heavy cream cream.

Ingredients to make apple pie ice cream

No Churn ice cream

No churn ice cream means you don’t have to have an ice cream machine to make this. A stand mixer or a hand mixer is needed though. This is used to whip the heavy cream into whipped topping.

Heavy cream in the stand mixer

Next fold in the sweetened condensed milk. This is what makes the ice cream sweet. Without it the ice cream won’t have the right texture. I like to fold it in so as to not deflate the whipped topping.

Heavy cream in the stand mixer

Make sure before adding the sweetened condensed milk that the heavy cream is whipped well. This means the cream should be thick and like whipped topping in texture.

Once you have folded the sweetened condensed milk into the heavy whipping cream it’s time to flavor the ice cream. Add the cinnamon and the apple pie filling.

You can choose to cut the apples down to smaller pieces but I like the big chunks so I leave those apples whole. Fold in those apples and cinnamon well.

Place the ice cream into a loaf pan or a brownie pan and cover with plastic wrap. Place the apple pie ice cream in the freezer overnight. Overnight is best so the flavors merry.

Serve it cold in a waffle bowl, cone, or just a bowl. I like mine in just a bowl or over some pumpkin pie. I love all things apple and pumpkin. But I’m so about Fall!
