The Coq au vin looks absolutely supreme in this book. While I haven’t had the chance to make it yet it is definitely on my to do list. However, I did make the baby cucumber sandwiches. They are just delightful! I do plan to make them again for my bachelorette party. The sandwiches are just a timeless classic and fit well into a 1920’s themed wedding. They are also perfect for New Year’s Eve, baby showers, and tea time with friends. This book has everything you need for year round recipes to dazzle friends for the holidays. The Coq au Vin is one I would put on the menu of a nice dinner party with friends. It’s just look so tantalizing. If you watch the show you know just how detailed these recipes are. I strive for that in a book. I want to know every step and love the use of ingredients that are not so common. This book actually got passed on to a friend that enjoys the show. I know she will be making tons of the recipes! I hope it inspires her to become a lovely cook.
