Today, I had a craving for something different. It’s summer and I have yet to have a float let less ice cream. Oh how I love Buttered Pecan ice cream. I just love how distinct the flavor is. My grandmother always drank Pepsi when I was growing up it was always such her favorite. Here I combined two favorites for a Buttered Pecan Pepsi Float.
I picked up some chicken to grill this weekend along with the items to make more Pepsi floats for the family. My daughter is already in band camp (she’s color guard) and it’s long hours and we barely get to see her between now and the start of school. Actually I think it gets pretty hectic in football/band season too. This is why I like to do special things for her when I get to see her. I love shopping at Albertsons because I get to visit with my buddy Nick in the meat department and it’s just two doors down from my son’s work. I can do my shopping when I drop him and work. Then I run back home.
Convenience is a huge thing for me. Being able to get in and out with good deals is pretty important especially during back to school. What are your current back to school endeavors? I shopped Albertsons Huge Anniversary sale, but you can be sure to check out what great deals are available at Safeway, Tom Thumb, or Market Street too! Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast for $1.49 lb. and Pepsi, 12-Pack, 12-oz.cans. Select varieties 4/$10 when you buy 4 – Limit 4. I bought plenty of chicken for grilling.
I’d love to hear how your family will stock up! Just pop down to the comments below and tell me what you would make, buy, or float? I could always use new float recipes 🙂Print
