I love serving up something easy on cold winter nights. We enjoy having dinner while watching movies or TV shows we need to catch up on. It’s just our thing! Marie Callender’s Pot Pies make this easy for us. With so many flavors to choose from like cheesy chicken and bacon or the creamy mushroom chicken pot pie it is super easy to please everyone.
When I do Marie Callendar’s pot pies I just pop them in the microwave. Before that though we have a blood orange salad topped with parmesan and red onion. It’s simple and healthy. Blood oranges are hard to get here and when we see them we love to pair them with everything we can.
We have these movie series night where all we do is stay in bed, eat, and watch a movie series. It’s a good time to relax. We discuss the movie in between changing out the DVD’s. We can start with a salad during one movie and move to the pot pie as it is so simple to make but still hearty and delicious full meal! So far I like the chicken pot pie but I cannot wait to try the creamy parmesan pot pie. It sounds so tasty! The one pictured here is the cheesy chicken and bacon pot pie. I’ll be honest, they had me at the bacon! Homemade gravy mixed with vegetables and all white-meat chicken, in a golden, perfectly flaky crust that’s made from scratch. I found them on the frozen foods aisle at Walmart.
Marie Callender’s knows that home is more than a place. It’s big hugs and joyful laughter. It’s warm memories and comforting homemade favorites on the dinner table. Marie Callender’s also knows that life can often take our loved ones far from home and away from all of the comforts and happiness it brings.
That’s why we’re introducing the Comforts From Home Project—a program dedicated to bringing the heartwarming feelings, flavors, and favorites of home to those who miss it most. This fall, Marie Callender’s will launch the Comforts From Home Project by bringing the comforts of home to those who protect America’s homes every day: the brave men and women of the U.S. Military. Every time you enter a code from a specially marked package of Marie Callender’s meals or desserts, Marie Callender’s will make a donation to USO2GO, a USO program that brings electronics, sports gear, books, games, and more to troops stationed in remote locations.Print
