With the 4th of July around the corner I thought I would share my 4th of July patriotic tree with all of you. All of the items to decorate this tree I picked up at my local Dollar Tree. My daughter and I like to decorate the tree for every season. I think this one was her favorite because she loves red, white, and blue.
I let her really pick out what she wanted on the tree this time. We thought if we did the flip flops it would say summer and then we can leave up the tree until September. We were going to do a fall tree but I think we will do one for Band season to match her band/color guard show in the Fall. The one for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course I already have Christmas.
We added in the garland first. Then the patriotic beads. The silver balls were already on the tree from Christmas. They are universal and seem to go with just about every theme we have done. We used the leis to give a pop of color. For pattern we added the flip flops. To scream that patriotic pride we added a few small american flags to the mix. It’s a really fun pop of color in the living room. It’s great for decoration in small places like apartments or condos where you don’t always have the full room to decorate.
Everything just sets on the tree without hooks other than the silver Christmas balls. Which is nice to not have to craft something. The cost to decorate this tree since I already had the ball ornaments was $12. Pretty inexpensive way to add color and decoration to your home. That is my favorite reason to do this. Oh, and I don’t have to take down and put up the tree every year.
