My Keurig was a Christmas gift two years ago. I begged to get one for two years before. We really use it for everything. From winter drinks like apple cider and hot chocolate to #BrewOverIce drinks like Snapple’s iced teas, Vitamin Burst, and cold brew over ice coffee additions. If we don’t use it for drinks, we use it for ramen. You know those little cups of soup with ramen and vegetables. We use the Keurig to add the water, let them sit three minutes and then they are ready to eat. Condensed soup, just add water, stir and serve. It is just so functional!
I can say I cannot live without my Keurig. Neither can my family. My daughter swears by the brew over ice lemonades. They are a bit strong for me but the teas I love! I haven’t been so lucky to find the Snapple Peach tea here but once I do I will have a pantry full; not that I already don’t.
Brew your favorite and new found Brew Over Ice flavors on the 6oz (small) or the 8oz (medium) setting for the best brewed taste. I picked mine up at Walmart. They have the box sizes I like for a larger family for iced tea. It is very important that, when brewing over ice, you must be using a plastic cup or tumbler. BPA FREE!
I wanted to share with you one of my favorite drinks to make in the summer with my Keurig. It’s pretty simple and full of flavor. I call it the Sugared Strawberry Basil Lemon Iced Tea.
That’s why the rim of the glass is coated in sugar for a little extra sweetness. It includes fresh strawberries which enhances the tea. I hope you enjoy it like I do sitting outside by the pool or late night on the front porch. Enjoy!
ITEMS TO SUGARED STRAWBERRY BASIL LEMON TEA
- 1 K-cup of Snapple Lemon Tea - Brew Over Ice
- 5 strawberries; slice four strawberries and keep one for the rim
- 1 slice of lemon
- 2 basil leaves; fresh
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Turn on Keurig and let it warm up. Wet rim of the plastic cup (do not brew in glass) roll in sugar. Add ice to the rim of the cup. Add in sliced strawberries and brew lemon tea over the top. Add a slice of lemon and a strawberry to the rim. Top with basil leaves. Serve!
