Lately, one of our favorite drinks to make at home in the evenings is margarita’s to beat the summer heat. The heat really hasn’t even started here in Texas yet. Let me tell you when it does you don’t even want to go outside. The other half like’s to call them an adult slushie. They are so simple to make especially with my new blender!
We plan to make these on the fourth. Maybe I will get creative and do some strawberry swirl margarita’s. Do you have a favorite flavor when it comes to margarita’s or maybe a favorite tequila?
I am pretty excited for the 4th of July this year as we are planning to go to a local festival and see Kansas play. I bought the cutest long maxi tye dye skirt for the event. Still thinking of a shirt. I am sure I will find something. Picked something light weight to be cool and long so sitting in the grass isn’t an issue. I’m looking forward to having a corn dog and some peach tea while browsing the car show. Do you have a specific event or meal you do for the fourth? I would love to hear about it in the comments below.
- 3 shot glasses of Tequila
- 1 shot glass Triple Sec
- ½ cup of lime margarita mix
- Fill your cup with ice to the very brim of the cup. Pour ice into blender. Add in one shot of triple sec and three shots of tequila. Add in lime margarita mix and blender until you have the consistency of a slushie. About one minute. Serve in a mason jar.
